Sarıyer Belediyesi tarafından Zekeriyaköy’deki ormanlara atılan köpekler 26 Şubat 2008’de yine aynı belediye tarafından zehirlendi.
Kanlı icraat devam ediyor. Köpekler eş dostun kurduğu ihale şirketi tarafından toplanıyor, kısırlaştırılıyor, “hak edişler” ihale şirketine ödeniyor, köpekler ormana atılıyor, daha sonra aynı ekip tarafından zehirleniyor.
Eskiden, gece toplanan köpekler zehirlenerek taş ocaklarına gömülürdü. Şimdi, bu köpekler üzerinden ihale şirketleri aracılığı ile rant sağlanıyor. Köpekler daha ameliyat yaraları iyileşmeden atıldıkları ormanda zehirleniyorlar.

Dogs that were dumped in forest area around Zekeriyaköy by Sariyer Municipality were poisoned by them on February 26, 2008, today.
The bloody execution is going on. Dogs are collected by contractor firms established by friends and relatives; neutered by that firm; “success fees” are paid; dogs are dumped in forests; and later poisoned by the same team.
In the past, dogs that were collected at night were poisoned and buried in stone quarries. Now, income is earned by this bloody operation through contractor firms. Dogs are killed in forests where they are dumped before their operation wounds are healed.
EVERYBODY WHO HAS SOME COMPASSION IN HIS HEART: PLEASE RAISE YOUR VOICE TO STOP THIS MASSACRE.

I have traveled to your country many times[Iam from canada]I was sent the blog about poisoning stray dogs,my heart is broken.How can people be so uncaring and cruel to gods creatures.It is not thier fault,they only do what comes natural to them.To be killed so painfully is inhumane.We as humans need to take a position against this cruelty and put a stop to it.Iam disapointed and shocked that this would be permited to happen.I hope that dog lovers will take a stand and speak up for the inocent animals that have no voice that can stand against humans!
